A beautiful product for any hallway and such a conversation point. I really enjoy such a piece of furniture, unfortunately the base has started to crack. Having worked in wood i know the difference between a shake, which is natural and a crack. I just cant be bothered to go through the process of explaining and packing to return. I will fill with resin myself.

I was a little sceptical of this website; I'd seen several reviews complaining of long waits, cancelled orders and sub-par quality items. However, I was desperate for a sturdy coat stand that would withstand possible cat shenanigans, and I saw a really beautiful carved mahogany option on this website and figured I should take a leap of faith.
I'll be honest... It took a long time to reach me. I ordered at the end of February, and it finally reached me around 4 months later. However, I did call them to enquire on timescales before purchase, and they were open and honest. They were also quick to contact me after my order to give me an idea of 'mid-June' for when it would reach them, and then confirmed it would be a further few days to arrange delivery to me.
Sure enough, mid-June arrives and they contact me without prompting to update me that it will be another week or two, and within that time they got in touch to arrange a delivery date towards the end of June / beginning of July.
The delivery was on time, and the driver was polite and friendly. The packaging left a lot to be desired though, to be honest, and the bottom of the stand ended up a little scuffed... But given I had basically ordered a big tree, I imagine it was important to ensure it would stand up safely in a vehicle so I wasn't too worried.
All in all, I love love LOVE the item and it felt like great value for money for such a statement furniture item. I'd be happy to order from them again, but would only do so if I was definitely not in a hurry!!

No need to make that one up yourself


Needed to pay builder to open boxes and put together, as way too heavy for me to do it alone.

The wood is shabby and low grade with holes not in the right place and uneven colour tones, even with white.

Even the door hinges do not allow door to close properly, they're too small to carry weight of front door and the unit does not close.

No where in there advert, did it mention self assembly!

Had it done, I would never have bought the telephone cabinet (reduced from 1200 down to 670)

There are scratches all over it, hinges do not align and I'm faced with finding a carpenter now who can shave off side of door and replace cheap hinges so that the unit closes.

Also it's left hand opening
No option for right door opening so it's going to be harder to walk to unit and simply pour drinks with this door opening configuration .

Buyer be aware its flat pack and even basic assembly instructions do not highlight way to insert shelves at bottom or fit bits togther . Its a diagrace that Homes Direct 365 do not inform you this telephone drinks cabibet, is not a ready made unit to place in home, but 4 hrs plus of help from neighbours and now a builder to try and build it oneself

This is the reply i recived especially the fact the company DOES NOT inform you you need to build it yourself with bolt tightners and assistance as no way can , one build this telephone cabinet alone.


£670 for a DIY unit i still cannot close which has an awful smell and need a carpenter to help do hinges and shave door

Our site does not state that this is built up, like most companies we don't provide screwdrivers and tools to put furniture up, our team also don't provide a rubbish removal service as this would fill our van and make this dangerous for our driver

Bought from homes direct 365 a couple of times now. Always fast delivery and quality products

I got an amazing cabinet for all my craft paraphernalia. This is the perfect size and combination of cupboards and drawers. Easy to order and delivery took a while but they was clear from outset and communication was excellent about the arrival of the furniture.

I ordered 4 chairs in January and it its still not here and we are in july. I habe now been told it will arrive early september and im sure there will be further delays and that will not be the case. Every month i have to chase to get an update no one used their initiative to update me. If an item is not in stock and is expected to take long customers should not be able to purchase and go through what im experiencing. I am so frustrated as iv waited so long now and dont want to claim my refund for this reason
